Møllegaard Keramik is an online store I created for Rikke, who needed a simple and accessible way to present and sell her ceramic pieces. Her main requirement was that the solution should be easy to maintain and flexible enough to grow with her business – without needing technical skills.
I chose WordPress as the foundation because it’s a well-supported and intuitive platform that allows her to manage her own content. For the webshop functionality, I integrated WooCommerce, which makes it straightforward to add new products with images, descriptions, and pricing – all without writing a single line of code. Additionally, I installed plugins for SEO optimization, spam prevention, and a firewall to enhance site security.
The design is kept minimalistic and clean, with a strong focus on the product categories. The combination of a simple structure and a personal logo guides visitors directly toward the products in a natural way.
The menu includes all the product categories Rikke wanted, and the setup is flexible so she can easily add more in the future if needed.
Visitors who want to see everything in one place can go straight to the “Shop” page, where all products are displayed in a single, organized overview – ideal for browsing the entire selection.
The “About” page is also important. It tells the story behind Møllegaard and includes a picture of the farm where the ceramics are made. This helps create a personal and authentic connection between the customer and the products, making the brand feel more genuine and relatable.
