From WordPress to a fully tailored CMS.
Rikke, the creator behind Møllegård Keramik, wanted a simpler way to showcase her ceramics.
Her previous WordPress site had become too complex for her needs, and she was looking for something faster, more intuitive, and easier to manage — without any unnecessary features.
After our initial meeting, we decided to build a custom CMS, allowing her to easily create categories and upload ceramics with details such as descriptions, clay type, and size.
The backend was developed on a LAMP stack, with PHP managing the data flow and SQL ensuring a structured, efficient database.
The result is a completely new website — not only more user-friendly but also twice as fast as the previous WordPress setup.
Dashboard: A simple, intuitive dashboard that provides a clear overview. It displays the number of entries per month and allows easy navigation between months.
Add Ceramics: A minimal and easy-to-use form for adding products with images and relevant details.
Overview: A clean overview of all ceramics, with options to edit or delete entries when needed.
The homepage is designed with a focus on simplicity — letting the ceramics take center stage.
Gallery: The gallery provides a visual overview and allows users to filter by category.
Product Page: Each product page displays a large image and detailed information. A contact button links directly to Rikke’s email, automatically inserting the product name in the subject line to ensure clear communication.
